I just took the carbs out of my Honda shadow vt1100 ACE 1999. Can I say thank you so much for your video? It has to be the best one on UA-cam. It is so detailed and precise, well presented, and a pleasure to watch. My Honda was running like a bag of cats, back firing, and when I took off the carbs, they were filthy. what are the large black plastic nipples on the side of each carb for ? they are just vented to open air on my bike and id like to know what to do with them lol

I had this issue where the salt cell was reading lower than the actual salt level and the system wasn’t generating chlorine because of that. I used the salt cell cleaning solution and the fins looked ok inside the unit. Then I reinstalled it and it worked ok for a couple days. Then the same problem cropped up. I have the solution I think. I used a bubble tea straw brush (just a small wire brush and scrubbed in between the fins inside the cell until all the fins looked clean. Now it’s working properly. I’m not sure exactly where the sensor is but I imagine it’s near where the wire comes into the unit so I made sure to get the brush in and around that tight space. Now it’s working properly. Hopefully for a good while. Worthwhile to try out and save 1000 dollars for a new cell.

I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt with 99,000 miles and the previous owner poorly fitted an aftermarket Boss 820BRGB radio to where the bottom sticks out slightly from the weight. But it works fine and has bluetooth but I was thinking about buying a touch screen off Amazon. I'm glad I watched your video which helps me avoid those cheap knockoff radios. But I saw at the end you bought a Sony. Did you have the chance of installing it yet and will you have a video coming out soon about how you installed it? Also have you heard of the aerosol cans of protective rubber coating for motherboards? I wonder if that would help keep the components on the motherboard from overheating and potentially blowing out. Im pretty sure it would work better for vintage electronics like game systems and VCRs that aren't exposed to alot of heat. But I just learned about it recently.

Why don't you compare the weights of the machine after unpacking? It is important to know if they are similar. The heaviest part of the machine is its motor. A heavier motor is likely to be more mechanical powerful in driving the paddle. Also, a heavier machine may be made of better materials - less plastic, more alloy steel. Finally, you are comparing two widely advertised products. The less expensive machine is very likely to be just as good and to last equally long. Motors, heating elements, and even printed circuit boards with computer chips have been produced for many years now. They don't have to be expensive to do a good job and to be reliable. They just have to be made by a company that is responsible.

Thanks so much for the video, it’s very helpful. Just one question. Is it possible to lift the unit from the dock? I tried to and I couldn’t lift it. So in order to clean the dock (brush and water filter) I started a vacuum clean to move it off the dock. Is it ok to then turn the unit upside down to perform maintenance while on pause? Thank you

Nice. No idea whats wrong with mine tho. It does charge with old and new regulator but it still drains while driving and also when its off(Slowly). I cant measure it while i drive so i don't know when it starts to fail but iv'e been stranded a couple of times haha.

I made the repair, but nothing happened when I pressed the switch. The reason: the new lever is a little too long. As soon as I put the battery in, it turns on. The reason it didn't seem to turn on at the first try was because if the switch was "pressed" without a filter, it doesn't turn on automatically when a filter is put on afterwards (I have the older version without LCD). If I put the filter on first and then put the battery in, it starts the motor. I'm now wondering if I can find a solution without having to take everything apart again and shorten the lever - but it looks like I'll have to do that.

Just a quick note on your humidity measurements. The increase in humidity you observed as the load came back to room temp is measured as 'Relative' humidity and is expected. Relative humidity is directly correlated to temperature. As temperature decreases, relative humidity will increase with no increase in the air moisture content. It is a measurement of how saturated the air is at any given temperature. Measuring actual moisture content of the drum in gr/lb would be more helpful in this application.

My Aqua Rite is running version 1.45 and I don't have that last diagnostic option to see the T cell number. Just bought a new t3 cell and still below 2000ppm even though I know the actual is close to 3000pm. Any thoughts?

So a few pointers. No new washer for the oil plug - this should be changed for a new one! No changing the o-rings on the housing for the filter - this should be changed for new ones! No new exhaust washer - this should be changed for a new one!

Great, very thorough review. Was wondering if anything could be added to safely support the bike while elevating the front and rear whees to remove them for changing out tires. The video did mention jacking the frame to lift the rear wheel. Wonder if a similar thing could be done for safely supporting the fork?
